The present monograph covers the problems of ageing in terms of the socio--economic and spatial components of this issue. In both of these aspects, the issue of social infrastructure in networks for the care of older adults is one of the most important. With these questions, we intervene in the concept of the silver economy, as we understand and spread it in Europe and other continents. /…/
Regarding the state‘s role in the silver economy, the issue of building social infrastructure for older adults and involving the public and private sectors in them is crucial. Here, it is particularly necessary to adapt the offer to the demand promptly because of the sudden demographic changes and the wide range of needs of older adults for products and services in the care networks of older population.
