Proceedings Book on AMEU Dance Academy Events 2018/2019: Proceedings Book with Review

Alma Mater Europaea The Academy of Dance is the only institution in Slovenia to offer an officially accredited first-cycle Bologna education in the field of contemporary dance, and for the first time in history also including ballet. In the field of ballet, Slovenia has a rich, centuries-old tradition with two outstanding ballet institutions within the Opera houses in Ljubljana and Maribor and conservatories with ballet schools in Maribor and Ljubljana, where there is also a higher vocational college of ballet. There are also many private and other ballet schools, courses, etc. Ballet art, however, has not been taught at the college level so far.

These Conference Proceedings include contributions from the Dance Section of the 6th Scientific Conference with International Participation All About People: Challenges for Science and Education (2018), a section that covered the Art of Dance in National Culture, Science and Education. It also includes contributions from the Dance Section of the 7th Scientific Conference with International Participation All About People: The Future Now! (2019) on the theme Tradition and Modernity in Dance Arts and Education; as well as contributions from the Round Table which was part of Borštnik's 2019 Meeting on Ballet: the Educational Vertical from Pre-School Education to the 2nd Bologna cycle in the Republic of Slovenia organized by the Alma Mater Europaea - Academy of Dance.

These conference proceedings bear the latest findings in the field of dance in Slovenia.
